Antelope Canyon Escapade
Our adventures this week took us to the tip of Arizona up to Horseshoe Bend and Antelope canyon. Antelope Canyon was by far one of the most beautiful places in North America and a definite must visit. Horseshoe Bend is only 15 minutes away and absolutely free. Check them both out on the same day to make the most of your visit.
Antelope Canyon consists of two parts, the Upper Canyon and the Lower Canyon. During the winter, you can get far better pictures by visiting the Lower Canyon while during the summer, the Upper Canyon is preferred. We went on the 8:50 tour at the end of January, and our guide told us the best tour to go on is the 10 am tour where light more pronouncedly sifts through the canyons creating even better pictures.
The best time to go to Horseshoe Bend is shortly after sunrise where the dynamic colors of the canyonscape are on full display. It’s definitely worth checking out, but after an hour or two you may be wondering what else to do. So do both of them in the same day, or check out some other spots relatively nearby including Zion or the Grand Canyon.
